Can I sign the waiver in advance?
Yes, and it's easy to do from your smartphone or computer! Just click here.

Where can we park our car while we're on the tour?
Street parking can be tough around the bike shop, but it is available. Make sure you avoid the streets that have 2 or 3-hour parking signs as your time with us will be longer than that. (And we don't want you to get a parking ticket!) There is a pay lot on Fairmount Ave. between 22nd and 23rd street that is around $15 for up to 12 hours.

Is a bike included in the price?
Yes! A bike, helmet, and souvenir water bottle are included.

What is your cancellation policy?
We offer a full refund up to 2 weeks in advance. 50% refund up to 48 hours in advance. No refund within 48 hours besides weather-related cancellations. If it's raining, and you don't feel comfortable riding, we can cancel and give you a full refund. If it's only lightly raining, and you do want to ride, we have ponchos!

How big are your tour groups?
The maximum size for our public tours is 12 riders, and most groups are smaller.  Saturday groups tend to be the largest.

What kind of bikes will we be riding?
We currently use the Marin Stinson. It's a 7 speed hybrid bike that comes with wide tires perfect for cruising on city streets or packed gravel.

What sites do we see on the City HIghlights Tour?
Seeing all of these sites depends on the pace of the group, but we definitely see most of them every time: the Philadelphia Museum of Art - City Hall - Ben Franklin Parkway - Water Works - Schuylkill River - Rittenhouse Square - Pennsylvania Hospital - Magic Gardens - Washington Square - Liberty Bell - Independence Hall - Old City Hall - Congress Hall - Constitution Center - Penn's Landing - Race Street Pier - Elfreth's Alley - Betsy Ross House - Eastern State Penitentiary

What is the minimum age to go on a tour?
The minimum age to book a tour with us is 18. Youth 12 and over are welcome on all of our tours as long as they're with a parent or guardian. Children 9 and over are welcome on our Hidden River Tours, which stick mostly to dedicated bicycle paths.  For children under 12 we can often organize private tours geared around the interests and abilities of the group.

Tipping - yes or no?
If you enjoyed your tour, tipping is welcomed and encouraged!

Can I pay cash?
Absolutely. However, we recommend booking online as we can only hold your spot once we have received payment.

I just want to rent a bike. Do you do that?
We don't handle the bike rentals, but you can rent road bikes or hybrids through Fairmount Bicycles. Mountain bikes and fat bike rentals are available through Brewerytown Bicycles, only a mile away.

We have more than 12 people in our party. Can we still take a tour?
Absolutely! Call or email and we'll make it happen.

Do you offer private tours?
Yep! Private bike tours are great for celebrating birthdays & anniversaries, bachelor & bachelorette parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, team building, and more! The subject matter can be customized to your interests, so let us know what you'd like to see. Call or email for availability.

Is there a discount for bringing my own bike?
Sorry, no. If you choose to ride your own bike, you can, but please note that we will not be responsible for fixing flats or repairing your bike should anything go wrong with it during the tour.

Are you hiring?
We are always interested in meeting potential guides, although we may not have immediate openings. We are looking for a few sweeps for our 2018 season.  If  you are interested send over a resume and a couple of sentences about why you think you'd be a good fit to fun@phillybiketours.com
